How we collect, use and look after your personal information — in plain English, like everything else we do.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
Who we are
Harbourside Digital (“we”, “us”) provides done-for-you digital services — websites, booking, reviews and related tools — for small local service businesses. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
What we collect
- Enquiry and audit forms: your name, email address, phone number, business name and type, website address, your message, and your consent choices.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address and browser type as part of serving and securing the site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry or arrange the call you booked.
- To prepare and email you the free marketing audit you requested.
- To send you occasional marketing emails — only if you ticked the marketing opt-in, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To keep the site running securely.
Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent (the checkboxes on our forms), our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, keeping our website secure and improving it), and contract (where you become a client) as our lawful bases for processing.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that run our systems, and only as needed to do the things described above:
- Resend — the email service that delivers your form submission to our inbox.
- Google Analytics — which measures how the site is used, and only if you have accepted analytics cookies.
- Our website hosting provider — which processes technical data as part of serving this site.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, it is done under recognised safeguards such as the UK's international data transfer agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any ongoing relationship that follows. If you opted in to marketing, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Cookies and tracking
We use two kinds of cookie. Strictly necessary ones let the site function and remember the cookie choice you make below. These are always set.
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics, which tells us things like which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from, so we can improve the site. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell or share this data.
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or by blocking and deleting cookies in your browser.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Restrict or object to how we process it.
- Receive a copy of it in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time (for example, unsubscribing from marketing emails).
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
