Hi, I'm Lewis

I’m the founder of Harbourside Digital, a web design and digital marketing studio based down in sunny Poole, Dorset — home to the second largest natural harbour in the world (fun fact). It’s a place that’s shaped how I work: calm, down-to-earth, and with a real appreciation for quality.

Harbourside Digital came about after years of working in software development and alongside businesses trying to navigate the digital space. I kept seeing the same issues come up — websites that looked fine on the surface but didn’t really reflect the business behind them, or online efforts that felt disconnected and hard to manage. Too often, things weren’t built with growth or longevity in mind. I wanted to create an approach that combines thoughtful design, practical functionality, and strategic marketing, so businesses can not only look professional online but also reach the right audience and grow sustainably over time.

We get it — starting a new project comes with a lot of questions. So we’ve pulled together answers to some of the things we’re asked most often.

How long does a typical project take?
Timelines depend on the scope of work. Most website projects take around 4–8 weeks, while digital marketing services such as SEO, PPC, or social media are typically ongoing and delivered on a monthly basis. We’ll always agree on clear timelines and expectations before anything starts, so you know exactly what to expect.

Who will I be working with?
Who you work with depends on the services you choose. Our team includes specialists across web design, development, and digital marketing disciplines, ensuring each part of your project is handled by someone with the right expertise. We keep communication clear and the experience seamless throughout.

What happens once a website project is finished?
Once your website goes live, we make sure you feel confident managing it. You’ll be shown how to update content, images, and pages, and we include post-launch support (from 1 week to 6 months, depending on your package) to help with any questions or final tweaks. If you’d like ongoing support or marketing services after launch, we can also help with that.

Are you able to start immediately?
For websites we usually book projects around 3–6 weeks in advance. That lead time tends to work well as it gives us a chance to handle any prep work so we’re ready to hit the ground running when things kick off. For digital marketing services we can usually get started much sooner. If you’re working to a tighter timeline though, just let us know. We’ll always do our best to make it work.

We offer a range of digital marketing services including SEO, PPC advertising, social media management, and email marketing. These can be provided as individual services or as part of a bundled package, depending on your goals. Everything is tailored to help you attract the right audience and drive measurable growth.

We primarily work with small to mid-sized businesses, including solo operators and growing teams. If you value clear communication, thoughtful design, and practical marketing strategies, you’ll likely be a great fit.
