For a local business the Google profile often matters more than the website. It is what appears in the map results, and for a lot of searches it is the only thing a customer ever looks at.
Most profiles are half-finished: claimed years ago, wrong category, no photos, hours that have not been right since a bank holiday. Filling it in properly and keeping it active is the cheapest local visibility available.
